Mr Mark

There's something wonderful about the sound of a symphony orchestra. There's something equally wonderful about what happens when you add a little theatrical mischief.

I'm Mark Cameron, better known to young audiences as Mr Mark. I'm a composer, percussionist and performer who creates original family concerts combining music, storytelling, humour and audience participation.

I've had the pleasure of creating and performing family productions with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Regina Symphony Orchestra and Symphony New Brunswick.

My productions invite children to do more than listen. They become part of the adventure.

Melodious Prime vs. The Boyz of Noise

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a symphonic superhero!

When the dastardly Kaos and Konfuzed burst out of a television set, they're determined to put an end to music—and the entire symphony orchestra!

Who can stop them?

Enter Melodious Prime, protector of sharps, flats and the musical way, along with his faithful sidekick Harmony (who, fortunately, is the brains of the operation).

But the Boyz of Noise have some tricks up their sleeves, including three mischievous K-oto-Bots named Havoc, Hoopla and Hullabaloo!

Combining live orchestral music, physical comedy, comic choreography, theatrical mayhem and plenty of audience participation, this original family concert invites young superheroes to help save the orchestra.

Presented with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, including a return engagement in January 2023.

Don't Open Till Christmas!

One enormous present. One very curious Mr Mark. And one very important instruction.

When Santa leaves a mysterious gift beneath the Christmas tree with a note reading “Do not open 'til Christmas,” there's only one thing to do.

Imagine what's inside!

Could it be socks? A hockey game? A rubber ducky? Or something completely unexpected?

With wonderful music, silly onstage antics and theatrical surprises, Mr Mark's imagination takes the audience on a wonderfully unpredictable Christmas adventure.

But as the possibilities unfold, he discovers that the greatest gifts aren't necessarily the ones wrapped in paper and tied with a bow.

No batteries required. Just a little imagination.
